About Kingston upon Thames
The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is located in North West Surrey, and is part of the larger administrative area called Greater London. Kingston upon Thames takes in the smaller geographical areas of Chessington South, Chesington North, Coombe, Kingston, New Malden, Old Malden, Surbiton and Tolworth.
Kingston Town Centre enjoys a very picturesque setting upon the banks of the River Thames. Over 40 bus routes serve Kingston Town Centre and the bus network covers all parts of the borough, as well as services to Surrey and other parts of Greater London. There is a direct bus service to Heathrow which takes just 40 minutes by the X26 hourly limited stop service. Bus No. 285 to Heathrow runs every 10 to 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the night and takes less than 60 minutes to Heathrow Airport.
Nightbus N87 runs frequently throughout the night between Aldwich and Trafalgar Square in Central London and the journey to Kingston takes less than an hour.
Bus No. 53, with up to 6 departures per hour runs directly to Wimbledon with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes. Bus No. 131, is classed as a school services and runs Monday to Friday and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes.

Kingston upon Thames Rail Services
There are two direct trains per hour to Waterloo Station near central London and the journey takes less than 30 minutes. Trains to Waterloo also stop at Wimbledon and the journey from Kingston to Wimbledon is just 12 minutes.

There are no underground stations in Kingston and the nearest underground stations to Kingston are Wimbledon and Richmond on the District Line. From Wimbledon Station you can takes buses 57 or 131 direct to Kingston or an onward overground train direct to Kingston. From Richmond bus routes 65 and 371 go direct to Kingston.
