Wimbledon
SW19 is located in South West London, approximately 10
kilometers (6 miles) away from central London. Our London Postcodes page will show you the area in relation to the
rest of London. Wimbledon SW19 is exceptionally well served by road, bus and rail
links. The main road artery is the A219 which runs
off the A3. The A3 links central London with many
important towns in Surrey and Hampshire, such as
Guildford and Portsmouth. The main railway station
is Wimbledon which is also a terminus for the District
Line of the London Underground network. Frequent
trains run to Waterloo Station, (journey time 15

taxi services of any suburban London borough and the taxi rank
at Wimbledon Station is well serviced day and
night.
Wimbledon
is mainly a district of high quality housing with tidy gardens
to match. There are many open spaces and sports
grounds. Wimbledon Common provides great opportunities
for relaxed walks. On Wimbledon Common there is a Windmill which
houses the Wimbledon Windmill Museum depicting the history of
windmills.
Wimbledon SW19 and the surrounding area has numerous restaurants, pubs, bars, two
discotheques, a cinema, four theatres and a large shopping

Wimbledon SW19 is home to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet
Club who organize the world famous tennis tournament held in the
