Does your website show up on Google's
first results page for
your chosen keyword/s?
The majority of surfers will choose the websites they visit, from the results
displayed on the first page of the search engine they are using.
If your website does not appear on a search engines first page, many potential
customers will not find you!
Check your ranking in Google by typing in the keywords that your customers
would use to find you. For example, if a potential customer looks for a
hotel in Wimbledon, they would probably type the words
hotels wimbledon
If you are not happy with your result, our Search
Engine Optimisation Package could significantly improve your
ranking on Google and other important search engines.
If you would like to find out how to improve your ranking on Google and other
important search engines and benefit from receiving considerably more website
traffic, you can order our Search Engine Readiness
Report which costs from £99.95.*

a monthly basis, or on an as-required basis. Optimisation costs from just
£30.00 per four pages (minimum charge) for initial optimisation, £60 for the first months search engine submission and then
£45.00 per month for further search engine submissions. In order to
ensure best results, we do not provide search engine optimisation for websites
which use frames, have Flash intro pages or Flash navigation. We will
also not optimise pages which automatically re-direct to other pages.
We
will, however, optimise your website if you have a no-frames version of a
framed website.
Alternative spelling: Optimize and

You can purchase most elements of our Search Engine Optimisation Package on a stand-alone/as
required basis if you prefer, but if you opt for our optimisation service you
must first order our Search Engine Readiness Report. This is to ensure
that you are able to make any recommended changes to your website in order
that search engine optimisation has the greatest chance of success.

Submission Training Document, specially tailored to your website, with
easy to follow step by step submission instructions. |
To ensure submission is done correctly and to achieve best results, we only submit
to search engines by hand. The amount of search engines submitted to each month
may vary. This is because some search engines are taken over by
others,
some stop taking submissions, new ones enter the market,
some go out of business and some search engines start accepting only
paid for submissions. Additionally, current good practice is to stop
submissions once a website has been indexed by a search engine, as now all
search engines automatically re-index websites already in their
database. We also hand submit your site to the most
important directories, including, but not limited, to The Open Source
Directory.
Please note that we will not, under any circumstances, upload files to
your server ourselves.
Why outsource optimisation to
us? Our record speaks for itself
and we encourage you to check what we have achieved for our customers in
the Wimbledon Business Directory. The following is just a small list
of our first page results on Google and Yahoo. This sample was taken on the
11th of May 2004. We cannot guarantee that we will get your
website ranked on Google's first page. We can, however, tell you that a
website that has been properly optimised for search engines will always rank
well ahead of those websites where no care or thought has been given to search
engine optimisation. Here at WimbledonVisitor.Com we pride ourselves in
keeping up to date with current good practice in Search Engine Optimisation.

Search
Engine Optimisation or SEO
Alternative
spelling: Optimization
|
The
process of designing a website in a way that search engines are
easily able to spider content. For SEO strategy to be
successful, attention must be paid to correct html coding, clear
navigation (including checking that all links work), feature rich
website content and "title" and "keyword" meta tags
that relate to the content of the page. The above list is
only a fraction of necessary attributes which need to be present
for good Search Engine Optimisation. SEO is most successful if
implemented at the start of the website design. |
Source
Code
|
When
a search engine spider visits a website, it doesn't see the site as
we do when surfing, but instead the spider reads the source code
behind the page. The source code is the programming language
(often html) used to construct the page. If you are using
Internet Explorer as your browser you can see this source code by
clicking "View" on the top left hand corner of your
browser and then clicking on "Source". If a web page
is constructed in such a way that a search engine spider cannot view
the source code and follow all the links in it, it is unlikely that the
website will achieve a good search engine ranking and it is even
more unlikely that such a site will be listed in the top 10 search
engine results. If you yourself are unable to see this source
code, it is likely that a search engine spider will not see it
either.
