A Country Affair on Hampton Court Palace Green
on Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th August 2007

Third wonderful year!  A Country Affair returns to Hampton Green and celebrates with tickets frozen at 2006 prices!

A Country Affair, the fabulous fun-filled family show returns for the third year to The Green at Hampton Court this August Bank Holiday.

Created first for Hampton Court, the show has also thrilled visitors to Morden Hall Park near Wimbledon, and Clapham Common in South West London.

Show organisers Stage It Events, in association with Historic Royal Palaces, are delighted to be returning to The Green at Hampton Court, where A Country Affair enjoyed a hugely successful debut in 2005. The show last year was an equally great success, establishing it as a highly popular mix of entertainment and attractions for all ages. To celebrate, and to thank visitors and contributors for their support, 2007 ticket prices will remain at the same level as 2006.

This year the show promises even more to see and do for every member of the family. A packed programme of free performances centred on three stages and arenas together with hands-on activities for children make A Country Affair a memorable day out at affordable ticket prices.

The stars of the show are undoubtedly the animals that help to create the essence and the atmosphere of the countryside in this stylish, traditional show.  However, A Country Affair is modern too, showcasing performers and contributors from the immediate neighbourhood, reflecting the interests and the aspirations of the local community.

Dancing sheep, racing ferrets and excited children

Highlights of the show have included an entertaining sheep show including dancing ewes and highly amusing ferret racing.  Ever popular Morris dancing, delightful Maypole performers and other much-loved country pursuits combine to create a fabulous family day out.

There's a high quality shopping experience including crafts, fashion, horticulture, hobbies and a farmers' market. For children there's an exciting programme of activities including a circus workshop, entertainers and traditional fairground rides. Archery, curling, climbing and football skills join the ever-popular A Country Affair Grand Space Hopper Derbies.

Steam, dance and cookery

Take a ride on a mini steam train. Explore the Village Green and enjoy performances in dance and drama. Watch professional chefs create international cuisine in the classy cookery theatre. A Country Affair presents a packed programme for all, in a stunning location close to Henry VIII's majestic royal palace.

Bands, beers, wines and good food

For music fans there's a line up of professional bands and singers to suit all musical tastes.  And to whet the appetite for a perfect day, there are great beers and wines at the Village Inn, plus a variety of good food, snacks and treats for children.

A Truly Memorable Day Out

A Country Affair on The Green at Hampton Court is a truly memorable family day out enjoyed by big, appreciative crowds in it's first two wonderful years. Ticket prices at £6 for adults, £5 for senior citizens, £3 for children aged 3 to 15, and free for under 3s make the show affordable, especially as they are the same as last year!

And for every visitor coming to A Country Affair there is a fantastic money-saving offer guaranteeing a second great-value day out. On entry they will be given a voucher entitling them to admission to Hampton Court Palace at a specially reduced rate of £5, a great saving of £8!
