Lollipops Day Nursery

Lollipops Day Nursery is a small privately run nursery based within the Nelson Hospital.  We have been established for eight years and are Ofsted registered.

Lollipops can accommodate up to 25 children a day and the nursery has three rooms:

• Jelly Babies is for age group 6 months to 2 years
• Jelly Tots is for age group 2 to 3 years
• Jelly Beans is for age group 3 to 5 years

A wide range of activities at lollipops Day Nursery

In the Jelly Beans we offer French and Italian lessons once a week, and music and dance lessons in the Jelly Beans and Jelly Tots.  Experienced independent teachers run these lessons, greatly enthusing the children who very much look forward to the classes.

Weather permitting, we often go on outings to the local park.  We have our own vegetable patch where the children help grow fruit and vegetables and eat their home grown produce!

Our highly experienced nursery team

The nursery is run by our excellent manager who has ten team members qualified at NVQ Level 3 and upwards. The staff have been at the nursery for many years, proving we have a very happy and content team.  Lollipops has a qualified cook who prepares freshly made food everyday for the children.  We have many children with special dietary requirements, which are always catered for.  All our vegetables and fruit are delivered daily, along with the milk and bread.

Nursery opening times

The nursery opens at 7.30am and closes at 6.00pm.  We are planning to offer after school care from all the local schools, as they are close to us.
