Interpreting
Types of Interpreting:
- Simultaneous, with booths and head phones for large meetings or conferences. At least two interpreters are required per language.
- Ad hoc is for smaller groups or one to one meetings, in which case only one interpreter may be necessary.
- Telephone interpreting, and video conferencing. This type of interpreting is required when the two parties concerned are in two or more geographical locations and need to communicate through an interpreter.
- Whispering is required when one or two delegates need to know what is being said and the interpreter has to sit next to the delegate without disturbing the rest of the audience.
Written Translation is the process of transferring information from one language into another in written form.
We are also able to offer certified translations of official documents, such as degree certificates, birth certificates, etc. (This is normally into English for foreign documents arriving from abroad).
All translators are experienced and have specialist subjects.

Organising Conferences with Interpreters or Presentations
This includes looking for a suitable venue, hiring equipment and providing technical support, as well as hiring simultaneous interpreters. Detailed planning is necessary not only for the venue itself but also for all related logistics.
Presentations follow a similar pattern, but usually on a smaller scale.
Language Teaching through Distance Learning
Types of Distance Learning:
For conversation or improving your translation skills right up to preparing for the exam of the Chartered Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation.
Conversation over Internet (voip): most people neither have time to practise nor to attend courses, so Distance Learning via the internet (through a media such as Google Talk or Skype) is the ideal solution.
Learning a language involves practice in four principal areas: - speaking – listening – writing and reading.
Translation course via e-mail: this course is prepared by experienced tutors and is divided into Modules of 10 units (8 translations and 2 tutorials) to prepare the student for the January exams of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. A tutorial is to allow the student to discuss individual problems with the tutor. Normally there are 3 Modules to form a whole course to sit for the CIoL exam. (If you wish to take the Diploma in Translation exams, check updated requirements and regulations from the Chartered Institute of Linguists).
A special offer taster can be a half Module of 5 Units, which includes 4 translations and 1 tutorial.
Work planning and tailor-made schedules are discussed in advance and on a regular basis to monitor progress.
