The Wimbledon Village Fair
The Wimbledon Village Fair on Saturday 20th June is not just a great day out on beautiful Wimbledon Common – it’s also a good way to support your local charity, the Wimbledon Guild. Last year, the fair raised £45,000, a tremendous contribution to the Guild’s work in the local community. This year, with under 5% government funding and a rising need for help, we are aiming high again.
The All England Club is our main sponsor and we are grateful too to so many other local businesses that sponsor the Fair and advertise in our programme - you can find the whole list on www.wimbledonguild.co.uk – helping us cover our set-up costs so that all the money raised on the day goes to the charity. We try to use only local suppliers and have only local sponsors, keeping the Fair a really local event – and a lot of the work on the day is done by our fantastic volunteers, over 100 last year.
Please get in touch if you’d like to get involved in any way.
